Pallet Wrapping Machines

Pallet wrapping machines are essential to any well-organized, efficient warehouse workspace. In addition to implementing a warehouse management system (WMS,) and increasing efficiency with racking systems, pallet wrappers are the best way to keep your products safe, dry, and organized. Without pallet wrappers, pallets are subject to wear and tear, and may even shift and topple, causing damage to your product.

At The Material Handler, we offer a variety of top-quality pallet wrapping machines supplied by Fox Packaging Services (FPS.) Before choosing a pallet wrapper for your warehouse, it’s important to familiarize yourself with the ins and outs of each system. Choosing the right pallet wrapping solution depends on the size of your warehouse, the amount of product you carry, and the amount of space you have to work with. Turntable Pallet Wrapping

This product is offered in a variety of versions, including manual, semi-automatic, portable automatic, and inline automatic.

Pallet wrappers are designed with welded steel and consist of a circular table that rotates in unison with the film roll, attached to a vertical post. The film moves up and down on the post, according to the location of the pallet, which is rotated slowly on the turntable. The film is fed by a brake system which determines the tightness at which it will be applied. Turntables are designed to work in conjunction with forklifts and pallet jacks.

Depending on which turntable product you select, there are several add-ons to enhance the machine. These include a base extension, loading ramp, integrated scale package, ramp extension, safety light curtains, safety fencing, and the option to create a custom design.

Rotary Arm Pallet Wrapping

This product is best suited for heavy or unstable loads. The machine consists of a large steel frame with a welded mechanical steel arm that stretches film around your pallets. It wraps items while stationary on the floor.

Rotary arms are known for their speed and can process up to 40 loads per hour. At The Material Handler, we offer a variety of products, including semi-automatic, portable automatic, and inline automatic. Automatic versions require no intervention by the operator, whereas manual and semi-automatic require a supervising operator to cut and stretch the film.

All of our products are designed with an unlimited weight capacity and can include safety fencing, safety light curtains, a three-leg gantry, and conveyors. Our products can be made in custom sizes, with varying heights, widths, and frame sizes to best suit your warehouse needs.

Orbital (Ring)

An orbital or ring wrapper operates by applying stretched film from a vertical rotating ring. These systems are effective for wrapping oversized, oddly shaped items, like long planks or tubing. Orbital wrappers require no manual labor and operate in caged machines, reducing human error and employee injury.

At The Material Handler, we offer three orbital wrapper systems: manual, semi-automatic, and fully automatic. All units consist of a precision steel ring, and friction carriage, and can be used to wrap items on or off of the pallet.

Orbital wrappers can be customized by adding product hold-down rollers, in-feed or out-feed conveyors, film roping, or pre-stretch carriage.

With an orbital wrapper, rotary arm, or turntable wrapper, you can wrap products in a fraction of the time it would take to wrap them by hand. With our pallet wrapping systems, you streamline the production process, save money on film costs, prevent unnecessary loss or damage, and dramatically improve workplace safety.
